At Mighty Peace GM we collect personal information to better serve your needs. Whether it be purchasing or leasing a new or used vehicle or servicing an existing vehicle, we are there to make sure that you get everything you need.
In order to provide you with our wide variety of services, products and promotions we may collect the following information when necessary:
  • contact and mailing information such as name, address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses. 
  • employment information, credit information, financial information and personal references of those who are applying for credit. 
  • drivers licence. 
  • insurance information. 
  • information about you existing vehicle(s) and any trade-in. 
  • details of your vehicle and service history. 
  • information about your driving habits (such as type of vehicle, kilometers driven annually, etc.) 
  • your language preference. 
  • health information if you are applying for life, health, disability or accident insurance. 
the amount of any life, health, disability or accident insurance and details of that insurance.
We may need to collect other personal information depending on the circumstances, but we will ask you directly and ensure that you agree.
Provision of your Social Insurance Number is optional. However you should be aware that some Banks and Credit Reporting Agencies use the Social Insurance Number as a unique identifier to ensure proper identification when conducting credit reviews and preparing credit reports. If you do not wish to provide your Social Insurance Number our ability to obtain a timely and accurate credit report may be affected.
Your personal information may be used by us to provide products and services to you such as: to obtain a license for your vehicle, to obtain a credit report if you are financing or leasing your vehicle, to obtain appropriate financing of your vehicle for you, to provide you with a reminder that you vehicle requires servicing, and to provide you with updates and information regarding products, services, and promotions that we have to offer and which we think will be of interest to you.
Like you, we at Mighty Peace GM, value your personal information. Part of valuing your personal information is making sure that it is protected and kept confidential. We achieve this by:
having our employees sign confidentiality agreements.
keeping our records in areas restricted to employees only.
having up to date computer security such as passwords, authorization, encryption and firewalls.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share some or all of your personal information with third parties such as the manufacturer of your vehicle and its related companies, the provider of products and services relating to your vehicle, credit reporting agencies, financial institutions or financing companies, your insurance agent or company and companies which provide or insure warranties relating to your vehicle. We may also disclose your personal information where we are required or permitted by law to do so.
Mighty Peace GM will do its best to ensure your personal information is correct and kept current. A customer service representative will contact you to verify your personal information before any decisions are made or action taken based on that information.
We will keep your information as long as is necessary to continue to meet your customer needs and any legal requirements we may have. However, once your personal information is no longer needed we will destroy it.
If your personal information changes, please inform us of the changes and any other information you feel is necessary. Also if your personal information is incorrect, then please notify us of the correct information.
We believe that part of establishing trust and integrity comes from allowing you to control your own personal information.
As such, we will collect information from you on a voluntary basis. Before we collect personal information from you, we will have you complete our consent form which gives you an opportunity to choose whether or not to provide the requested information.
